Abstract

Sustainability has become a pressing global issue in various sector economies, including cooperative production, which has a strategic role in Southeast Asia. However, the limitations in access to source power, technology, and knowledge often become a challenge for cooperatives in applying practice sustainability. Research This aims To analyze the impact of implementation practice sustainability on the performance of social and environmental cooperative production in the region. With a qualitative approach, data were obtained through in-depth interviews and participatory observations involving various cooperatives in Southeast Asian countries. The data were then analyzed using an analytical method. thematic For identifying patterns in practice sustainability. Research results show that the practice of sustainability implemented by cooperatives contributes significantly to subtraction impacts on the environment, such as a decline in carbon emission through energy use and improved welfare member cooperatives. In addition, research identifies several main challenges, including insufficient funding and inadequate government support. However, cooperatives committed to sustainability demonstrate more performance in matters of social welfare and environmental impact. Research This concludes that support regulations and incentives government is required To strengthen implementation sustainability in cooperatives. Implication study This shows that cooperative production in Southeast Asia can play a role as an agent change in reaching objective development if proper support.
